About Us
Brandi Vesco is the founder and executive director of the Washoe Parent Coalition. She is the parent of a 4th grader in the Washoe County School District, a cum laude graduate of the University of Missouri School of Journalism, and a former education and technology reporter.
Larissa Viner is a registered nurse who holds certification in school nursing, the parent of two Washoe County School District students, and head of our Wait Until 8th program. A summa cum laude graduate of Regis University, her background combines clinical healthcare experience, education, and a strong commitment to supporting students, families, and the broader community.
Dr. Brittany Avila is a Teaching Associate Professor of Psychology at the University of Nevada, Reno and a proud Northern Nevada parent. She teaches courses in motivation and emotion, social, cognitive, and business psychology and her research focuses on burnout and well-being, motivation, and academic success.
Kaitlyn Erquiaga is a Human Resources leader in the technology industry and a proud mother of three, with her eldest currently navigating the adventures of 1st grade. She is an active member of Wait Until 8th, part of her broader commitment to helping children thrive in a rapidly changing digital world.
Emily Auers is a Nevada-licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist and mother of three. She earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Texas at Austin and her master’s degree from the University of Texas at El Paso. Her professional experience includes working as a bilingual speech-language pathologist at a Title I school.
Robert Auers is a CFA charterholder with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the University of Texas at Austin. A recognized leader in the energy industry, he is frequently featured in national media outlets for his accurate price forecasts and market predictions. He is a father of three and is passionate about education.

Jonielle Dedman is CEO of Vision Infrastructure Solutions and the parent of a 4th grader in the Washoe County School District. She holds a Masters in Business Administration and a BA in Spanish from the University of Southern California.
