Call to action: In-person comments needed FOR OUR KIDS at July 28 WCSD meeting

Two items are on the agenda that will affect our children's daily lives and quality of education. Get the details here

Calling all WCSD parents, preK parents, homeschool parents, pediatricians, public health experts, mental health experts, child development experts, education experts, teachers, counselors, community leaders and concerned citizens! Our elected school-board trustees deserve to know how their constituents feel about what's happening in the WCSD.

How to comment at a WCSD meeting

  • Plan to arrive at 2 p.m. or join our WhatsApp group to receive an alert when the comment period is an estimated 30 minutes away, so you can head down to the meeting when you receive the alert.

  • Feel free to bring the kids, and they are welcome to provide their own comments as well.

  • When you arrive, fill out one blue comment card from the table in the lobby for each agenda item you want to comment on. Then walk to the front of the meeting room and hand your comment card to the clerk, who sits at the right near the podium.

  • The clerk will call your name when it's your turn to comment. Only one public comment is allowed per person for each agenda item, and public comments are timed and cut off at 3 minutes, so please prepare and time your comment in advance.
